For the homeschooling mom who worries that she isn't enough:

from

Hi there!

I'm Sarah, mother of six little monkeys and author of Teaching from Rest: A Homeschooler's Guide to Unshakable Peace. We were blown away by the way the first edition of the book was received- thank you for all of your words of encouragement!

Here's the good news: Classical Academic Press is publishing the second edition of Teaching from Rest, and it will be available in August 2015.

I've had some more time to stew on what teaching from rest looks like in real-deal crazy life. This past year I've had the opportunity to travel about the country and sling hugs around so many of your necks, and listen to you tell me what's keeping you from teaching from rest-- and you know? It's the same stuff I'm struggling with. Still.

The second edition of Teaching from Rest is better than the first- it's nearly 40% longer, and it's got more real-life examples of what rest might look like in a real deal, chaotic, crazy, and blessed homeschooling family.

Oh, and it will be available in print. Which is... you know... awesome. :)

The second edition will be available in August 2015. Want to know when the new edition is ready?

Keep me posted!

What people are saying about Teaching from Rest

In Teaching from Rest, Sarah beautifully reminds us that we will never be able to give our children the ‘perfect’ education. Instead of crumbling under the weight of our attempts to do so, we can let the burdens fall off our tired backs.

Teaching from Rest will fill even the most frantic, overwhelmed homeschooling mom with a deep sense of peace.

Jennifer Fulwiler Something Other Than God

You need this. In it is wisdom that takes my breath away. It’s both spiritual and practical- truly one of those rare, life-changing messages that no mother should miss.

Elizabeth Foss Small Steps for Catholic Moms

As a mom who has graduated two daughters from our homeschool, I can say with confidence that living the kind of homeschooling- the kind of resting in God- that Sarah discusses has paid off enormously in our home. Teaching from Rest is an encouraging, humble, honest, and gentle book. It is a gem.
