Sarah Mackenzie started the Read-Aloud Revival podcast on a whim.
That fateful decision resulted in a highly rated show that, 2 years later, has over 1 million downloads and reaches tens of thousands of listeners.
For over two years, Sarah has been interviewing leaders, authors, and experts in the read-aloud movement, connecting them with families all over the world who desire to help their kids fall in love with books.
She is the author of the best-selling book,Teaching from Rest: A Homeschooler’s Guide to Unshakable Peace and a popular speaker at national conferences. (Click here to see her speaking calendar or inquire about bringing her to your event.)
She is currently working on a new book for Zondervan to inspire parents to make meaningful and lasting connections with their kids through books.
Sarah lives in the Inland Northwest with her husband Andrew, where they homeschool their six kids (including identical twin boys).

Kortney Garrison: RAR Community Director
Kortney lives with her family on a peninsula in the Northwest.
She writes about homeschooling through the church year at her blog, One Deep Drawer. Her days are filled with stories and poems, nature walks, drawing, and pots of tea.
Kortney worked in Guadalajara one summer and studied in London one fall. She served as an education volunteer in the Peace Corps deep in the Suriname rainforest. She helped build a cob house and had her babies in the water.
Kara Anderson: RAR Podcast Manager
Kara and her family live on a half-way homestead in Illinois.
She’s married to a guy who usually keeps her out of trouble and together they have two kids, many pets, an ever-growing number of chickens, and a neglected garden because she’d rather be reading than weeding. Always.
Her love of books began with Nancy Drew, and she is so glad that her kids share her obsession.
