Still here. Still pregnant. How in the world is that possible? This pregnancy I have been crazy-worried about preterm labor. I don’t really know why, except that I know several ladies who did in fact go into preterm labor, plus I’ve had about a gazillion contractions the entire pregnancy. Still, it makes me feel silly to realize how much I worried over something that never came to pass. Must work on that. I’m sure there’s a lesson for me there.
A friend told me that perhaps I haven’t had my baby yet because God is trying to teach me patience. ME?! Why on earth would I, of all people, need to learn PATIENCE?
Okay fine, maybe I could use a little refresher course, but… God? Got it. Patience. Will definitely work on it. So could you please get things movin’ now?
Shoot. I’m not helping matters, am I?
At any rate, I have been pre-laboring for days, maybe a week, so I fully intend on having this baby soon. Like, today. If she’ll cooperate, that is. I’ve been dreaming about her, and to wake up and realize she’s still tucked up inside makes my arms ache to hold her.
I’ve loaded Andy’s iPod with labor tunes- this time around I opted for songs from L’Anguelus, Scripture Lullabies, and a wee bit of Celtic Woman. It’s a rather beautiful collection of music, if I do say so myself.
(Remember this little peanut? Yup- she’s a cutie. We met her family at the park the other day. The ice flats were definitely a hit- the kids loved to pretend they were ice skating. It wasn’t deep ice, I promise.)
Have you seen Ginny’s Hey Girl blog post? Oh my heck, I can’t stop laughing over the submissions- #3 is especially funny. :) I totally want to play along- we’ll see if I can rustle up the energy to put something together.

Okay, I think that’s all I have to say. I just wanted to check in and let you all know that we’re still waiting. That way I could garner sympathy and such- you know how I am.
